EQUIP25 Frequently Asked Questions

Payment

  • Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. Mastercard and Visa are accepted. EQUIP does not store or have access to your credit card details.

  • We are unable to offer refunds for cancelled or unused registrations. You can transfer your registration to another person. We cannot offer refunds if you fail to access the content during the 'on demand' period (21 June - 28 July, 2025). You are responsible for testing the internet speed and audiovisual quality of your system at the location where you will be viewing. The minimum recommended download speed for smooth streaming is 2Mbps.

  • We understand that in these times, some women will be unable to afford the cost of registration. Please email us at enquiries@equip.org.au if you or your group members are facing financial hardship.

Registration

  • You will receive an instant confirmation email from us upon completion of your registration. This email contains access details for EQUIP25 resources and streaming. Please contact us if you do not receive this email within 1 hour.

  • You can register for EQUIP25 until 4pm on Monday 28 July 2025. This is the final day that content is available for viewing on demand.

  • Each person who is watching EQUIP25 needs to register (even if you are watching together). You can register multiple people within one transaction. Simply indicate the number of women and teens who will be viewing with you when prompted during the registration process.

  • Yes! When prompted, simply indicate the number of viewers you are purchasing for.

  • We are pleased to offer a discounted rate of $20pp when registering 10+ women. You could pass this saving onto your group members, or put the savings towards the costs of running your event.

  • Yes! Simply follow the ‘Modify Registration’ instructions in your initial confirmation email. You can increase your group size and pay the difference at any point until 28 July. If you initially registered for a group of less than 10 but now found that your total numbers exceeds 10 people, you can even change to a group of 10+ to access the discount on already paid registrations.

  • Teens (girls in years 7-12) are able to view EQUIP25 for free. There is no limit to the number of free teens registrations. Please note that teens watch the same conference program as women.

  • If you registered a group of women, you can share the conference with them by:

    • Viewing the conference with them in the same location.

    • Sharing your access details so they can access the conference page themselves. We recommend doing this even if viewing together so that they can interact with bonus resources provided on the conference page.

  • You will have access to two sessions of EQUIP25. Each session runs for approximately 2 hours. These sessions will premiere live on 21 June from 10am-3pm and will be available on demand until 11:59pm on 28 July. You will also have access to exclusive resources we have prepared to support your EQUIP25 experience.

Program

  • No, you do not need to download any software to view EQUIP25.

When you register, you will be given access to a password-protected webpage. Here you will find all of the resources for the conference, including the episodes embedded onto our website.

  • While some of our conference is pre-recorded, other elements take place live.

These will take place on June 21 during the conference premiere. We will record the live elements so that they will be available for viewing alongside each episode during the remainder of the on demand period.

  • We are unable to provide AUSLAN or Mandarin interpretation for EQUIP25.

Email enquiries@equip.org.au for a Chinese script of the talks, kindly translated by one of our delegates.

Technical

  • If you regularly stream, for example watching YouTube or Netflix, you should have no problems accessing EQUIP25.

If you do encounter technical difficulties, you can try again at any time until 28 July 2025.

You may wish to check your data plan, so that you don't get charged extra data usage after streaming the episodes.

If you have a very fast internet connection and choose to watch HD quality video, you could use as much as 10GBs to watch the entire 5 hour conference. However, you may use as little as 4GBs to livestream the conference if you select to view a lower quality video stream. We recommend having a minimum download speed of at least 2Mbps for smooth livestream playback.

  • Yes! Once the premiere begins, you can play, pause, resume, and rewind as you please. This means that groups viewing in different time zones or using their own timing have the flexibility to do what works for them.

  • Every year more than 10,000 people watch EQUIP.

Our delegates will access EQUIP25 using many different devices and set ups depending on their unique situations.

As long as your device can access a webpage and play an embedded video, you should have no trouble viewing the stream.

Please consult manufacturer instructions for your device if you are unsure how to do this.

Livestream Technical Info

Test your internet, audio and visual set up, and data usage caps before Saturday 21 June. This will ensure that your event runs smoothly. Test the actual computer or mobile device you plan to use, in the actual location that you plan to use it.

  • We will be streaming from 9:30am (AEST) on Saturday 21 June. The conference premieres via livestream from 10am - 3pm (AEST).

During this time, you can either watch live or stop, start, pause, and rewind the stream by using the controls in the livestream player on the conference page. Toggle between LIVE and NOT LIVE by clicking the button.

We will continue streaming after the conclusion of the conference to allow those who started watching late to catch up.

After this time, the conference will be available ‘on demand’ until 11:59pm Monday 28 July 2025.

If you are watching the stream late on Saturday 21 June and it cuts out, refresh your page and switch to the ‘on demand’ box at the bottom of the page. You can then fast forward to where you were up to.

    • Use the newest computer or mobile device that you have available.

    • If watching as a group, connect your computer to a projector, screen or TV that is appropriate for your group size. Our livestream player offers ChromeCast and Airplay when used on applicable devices.

    • Amplify the computer's audio through your sound system or use large computer speakers.

    • Connect to the internet. We recommend using a fixed broadband connection such as ethernet if possible, for best viewing results. Wifi can be used but is not as reliable. A 4G or 5G connection can also be used on your mobile device.

    • Test your set up using the suggestions below to identify any problems. Please be aware that you may need to manually adjust your volume for different program elements.

    • If you are singing with a large group, you may need to turn your volume up during the songs.

    • Test your internet speed here or download the app speedtest.net for mobile devices. We recommend having a minimum download speed of at least 2 Mbps for smooth livestream playback. Run the test several times to see if you are getting consistent download speeds. We have incredibly fast upload speeds at our livestream studio, but if the internet speed is not sufficient on your end, there is nothing we can do to fix this for you.

    • Test watching any livestream that you find online (such as YouTube). Our stream will not be available until 9:30am on Saturday 21 June, but watching another livestream in advance will confirm that your set-up is sufficient for smooth streaming.

    • Check internet connection. Consistent internet connection is essential for successful streaming - ethernet is always best. Shared or wi-fi networks are often unreliable. To minimise interruptions, make sure that no-one else is using high-bandwidth applications on your network during the conference, e.g. watching movies or downloading large files.

    • Be aware of bandwidth usage caps. Watching the 5 hour conference in HD could use up to 10GBs of data. Lower quality video may use as little as 5GBs. Check your usage plan in advance so that you do not get charged extra data usage or experience slowed connection during the stream. Many internet providers slow your connection once a cap is reached - this will result in delayed, jumpy vision and out of sync audio. Some ISP providers allow you to temporarily increase your cap, but you must do this in advance.

  • If you have been watching the livestream for a few hours and then start experiencing problems, try this:

    1. Restart your computer or mobile device.

    2. Return to the password protected delegates’ page.

    3. Click the Play button to restart the EQUIP livestream.

    4. If this does not solve the problem, you can access our back-up video (with no LIVE MC or LIVE CHATS) which will be available at the bottom of the conference page.

In the unlikely event that there are issues at our end, we will post an update on our Facebook page. Please also refresh the conference webpage to check for updates. The conference is scheduled to start at 10am AEST. We will begin streaming at approximately 9:30am (30 minutes prior to the conference) and finish at 6:00pm (3 hours after the 3:00pm conclusion of the conference). This will allow viewers who start watching the livestream up to 3 hours late to watch the entire livestream of the conference. If you are streaming at 6:00pm AEST and the stream cuts out, move to the back up video at the bottom of the conference page.
