About EQUIP

EQUIP is a Christian Bible-teaching ministry focused on equipping women to know and love Jesus.

Our annual flagship event is a large online Bible teaching conference for women by women. In 2024, over 10 000 women from all different backgrounds and ages were part of EQUIP.

Our history.

EQUIP began in 1999 when 135 women joined together for the 'Young Evangelical Women's Conference'. Under God, EQUIP has grown into a large Bible teaching ministry for women in Australia, with more than 10,000 women attending our main conference in 2024.

We began as an in-person conference, meeting at various Sydney conference centres until 2020, when we moved online. This new model allows us to support the local church with a high quality conference streamed directly to them. We now stream EQUIP into hundreds of churches and homes across Australia and beyond.

Conferences for teen girls and ministry wives support women in these special circumstances.

Our leadership.

EQUIP conferences are run by teams of volunteers and are ministries of Equip Incorporated.

Current Executive: Debora Agahari, Jessica Kim, Louise Keun, Isobel Lin, Rebecca Lui, Annabel Nixey, Caitlin Orr, Ainsley Poulos, Carmelina Read, Di Warren.

Our beliefs.

EQUIP upholds the fundamental truths of the Christian faith, including:

  • The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

  • The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.

  • The universal sinfulness and guilt of humanity since the fall, rendering men and women subject to God's wrath and condemnation.

  • The conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit and his birth by the Virgin Mary.

  • Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only though the sacrificial death, as our representative and substitute, of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.

  • The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

  • The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective in the individual sinner, granting him or her repentance towards God, and faith in Jesus Christ.

  • The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.

  • The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The complementary relationship of men and women.
