Introducing Stephanie Toose
I grew up in the sunny suburb of Berowra, a beautiful suburb. Part of living there meant arguing vehemently for its inclusion in Sydney with any who thought otherwise!
I grew up in a Christian family, which is one of God’s greatest gifts to me. I can’t remember a time where I haven’t known Jesus as my Saviour and Lord.
At the moment, I’m just coming to the end of my 2nd year of MTS (a ministry apprenticeship) at St Paul’s Carlingford. It’s been so wonderful to be part of the ministry there, and I’ve been really encouraged seeing God work through the people I get minister to. I’ll be going to Bible College next year and can’t wait to get stuck into studying the bible there.
I’m recently married (only four months ago!) to Hamish and what a joy it is. I love the adventure we’ve begun, figuring each other out more and more, and figuring out how we can best serve God together. It’s a life long journey.
Apart from those things, I love going for walks, love being outside in the bush, near water, or reading books on the grass. I can now say that I’m officially addicted to coffee (though have been in denial for years now). At least it’s out in the open now.
I also love challenging my ideas and thoughts. I delight in chewing over parts of the bible, and weighing up the truth of what others say about it. So I’m really looking forward to reading through Tim Keller’s Prodigal God. No matter what you think of Keller, he has some interesting things to say. I’m looking forward to being challenged by his ideas, and learning more about our great God through his book.
